Stow, MA June 15, 2009 – FUReFRIENDS DEPOT announces the FUReVAC, a new deshedding and grooming tool that attaches to a household vacuum cleaner or shop vacuum. It combines effective deshedding, fur collection and clean up in one easy step. Using FUReVAC means no more piles of loose fur to clean up after a grooming session.
FUReVACä attacks the total shedding problem at its source - on the pet. Loosened hair goes directly into the vacuum cleaner before it has a chance to settle around the home. The idea is simple – the more fur removed and vacuumed up from the animal directly, the less fur is loose to contaminate the pet owner’s clothes, home or vehicle. Less loose fur not only means less mess, it also may reduce potential health concerns associated with airborne pet fur and dander.
The FUReVAC, composed of tough, durable plastic, does not cut the coat or irritate the skin, making it safe for senior pets or those with sensitive skin. Its unique bristle design effectively loosens shedding fur and self-clears with reverse strokes. The tool has been designed with a large vacuum chamber to prevent bristles from clogging with hair. The short end of the tool is handy to groom those hard-to-reach areas. The FUReVAC can be used on a dry pet with a household vacuum cleaner, or wet, if a shop vac is used. When used on a wet pet, the FUReVAC also accelerates the drying process.
With its universal attachment design, the FUReVAC has been field-tested to fit most household vacuum cleaners with flexible hoses. Its tapered end tube measures between 1.35" (or 1 11/32") and 1.6" (or 1 19/32") in diameter, accommodating a wide range of vacuum cleaner hoses. The FUReVAC fits vacuum cleaner flexible hoses that have an inside diameter measurement of between 1.375" (or 1 3/8") and 1.5625" (or 1 9/16").
