Bravo! Publishes How-To Book for Feeding Raw Specifically for Cat Owners

(Vernon, CT – October 14, 2009) Bravo!, manufacturers of the Bravo! line of fresh frozen raw diet products, have just published Bravo! Beginnings: Raw Diets for Cats, an 18-page informational booklet on feeding raw written specifically for cat owners.

According to Bravo! the company published this feline-specific follow-up to its Bravo! Beginnings series to address the unique nutritional needs of cats and the process for transitioning cats to a raw diet, which both differ significantly from the needs and processes for dogs.

Bravo! Beginnings: Raw Diets for Cats offers a comprehensive look at the feline raw diet with topics including: feline nutrition basics, diet benefits for cats, how to introduce raw into a cat’s diet, how much to feed, safe handling techniques and supplements, as well a section devoted to feline nutrition facts and myths and managing a cat’s weight via a raw diet.

“Interest in our Bravo! raw diet products from cat owners has been steadily increasing. Since education is a key part of our process, we felt we needed a booklet that would address more specifically the nutritional needs of cats and the significance a raw diet can have on their health and well-being,” said David Bogner, Bravo! owner and co-founder.

To write the booklet, Bravo! enlisted the help of Terri Symonds Grow, a noted author and speaker on pet health and nutrition. Grow has more than 15 years experience in the pet industry and is the owner of an internationally-recognized holistic pet store. Over the years, she has worked closely with veterinarians, trainers, pet guardians, shelters and manufacturers on canine and feline diets, herbal therapies and nutritional supplements. Her passion for advancing species specific diets and raw foods for cats has helped spur a new movement within the industry. Grow is an affiliate member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Botanical Medical Association.

Bravo! Beginnings: Raw Diets for Cats is a companion piece to the original Bravo! Beginnings publication, which has a distribution of 100,000 copies yearly. Both Bravo!
